Remove Formatting from selectionOur sweet little Avery girl turned one last Sunday:)

It is amazing how much babies change in just one year.

We feel so blessed to be the parents of this adorable doll. It has been better than we could have ever imagined. We had a fun Bday celebration down at my parents house Old MacDonald theme:) She loved partying with everyone and loves all of her new toys. You can view the party pictures below. Now it's time for her aging to slow down:( (My good friend Jules took these cute pics of Avery she is starting her own photography company. Ask me for info).

The Central Coast
Missing the beach like we are we decided to drive to the central coast for the weekend.  Neither of us had been so it was a fun adventure.  We first went to Cayucus which is an adorable little town with tons of these cute little statue people...
Avery wasn't quite sure of them at first, she would grip tight to Scott when we got close to them but she warmed up after a while.
Next we went to Morro Bay and were pleasantly surprised to run into our friend Conrad who was there for a competition. We made it just in time to watch him win first place in the finals!
Conrad talked Scott into climbing the big rock.  If you have been there you know how huge this rock is.  In sandals they obviously didn't quite make it to the top.
After Morro Bay we went up to Cambria and then Hurst Castle which we only saw from the bottom of the hill but it was gorgeous.  It was a great little trip and I highly recommend it.  Don't forget to stop by and visit us on your way there:)

We are back on!
Little Aves looking like a toddler...even though she looks super old this is already from a month ago...
Avery and her favorite guy...
Aves and I watching the awesome water show at the Grove.
We got our internet hooked up finally so I figured it was about time for us to update!  We moved to a new town.  We are now two hours from the ocean and far from family and friends.  Besides those facts we are really enjoying it here so far.  It is a nice family town and there is a lot to do.  Avery and I have made some great friends through a mom's group and Scott is enjoying his job so far:)  We left our battery charger at our old place so we don't have any new pictures but here are some from our last week in LA:)

The newlyweds
My sister Dani and Avery's new uncle Matthew are now husband and wife!  Their wedding was just beautiful and their reception was quite the party:)
The week before was a blast we had a family reunion, a very exciting 80's bachelorette party and a nice dinner at the Koelikker's house the night before...
And best of all Scott made it home just in time for the wedding.  Although as you can see he was absolutely exhausted.  Congrats Dans and Matthew.  ( I will post more wedding pics later).

Dear Dad,
I hope you are enjoying the waves in South America:)
I surfed a frog at the commons. Miss you.
Love, little Avery girl
Scott took off on a well deserved surf trip to Nicaragua and Costa Rica!
Aves and I headed down to enjoy the festivities before Dani's big day...
Her shower was fantastic,  I wish Scott and I could have another one of these:)
It was fun hanging out with the fam...
My poor little baby girl was sick for the shower but she was a trooper:)  Scoots we miss you:)
The Orange County Fair...always a good time
Macady and Aves made a cute square dancing couple...
Me and Hays and Ave loved people watching
Avery loved seeing the animals in the petting zoo
And being there with all her pals
We also watched the bmx bikers which turned out to be quite entertaining.  Only thing missing was Scott:(  We missed you Scotter!
Scott is done with the bar!
Avery was soooo excited to have her daddy back from Ontario
We went out to celebrate and got some italian ice after dinner the lady selling them told us our mouths might turn blue and as you can tell by the photo they sure did:)
Finally together again:)
Avery kept holding her hands above her head and laughing when we were strolling her around.  I think she thought she was on a rollercoaster ride.  So glad to have Scott back from studying:)

Last week was Scott's birthday.  I dressed Avery up as a cute little clown and surprised him at school.  28 years old.  Crazy...we first started dating when he was only 17.  The years just seem to fly by faster and faster.
Speaking of years flying by, this is a picture of me and my 2 best friends since second grade (we recently got together for Katie's shower).  Here we are 18 years and 4 kids later.  It seems like just yesterday when we were playing handball and barbies together.  Oh the memories...

Fourth of July this year was fantastic as always.  We made a delicious breakfast and Scott felt bad that Avery didn't get to enjoy it being a holiday and all....
so he let her dig in.....yes she put this piece of bacon in her mouth on her own.
We went to our friend's house in Paradise Cove to watch the fireworks and we got to cruise in this beauty.  It is a stick shift and it actually works.
Avery enjoyed the gorgeous display over the ocean...
and we enjoyed hanging with good friends.
Hope you all had a great 4th.

On Tuesday there was a picture of Scott and Avery in the LA times in the article "Malibu's Celebrity Surf and Turf War" we didn't hear about it until Wednesday when all the Tuesday papers were gone:(  Does anyone get the LA times and happen to have the paper from Tuesday?  Also you need to check out my friend Katie's blog  and see Avery and Dylan on their first date.....so cute.

I said I would update and once again I am behind so here are some pics from May that I never put up.  It was a fun and busy month. We had family in town for Scott's graduation, we went to an awesome Mason Jennings concert,  we moved (and are enjoying walks in our new town Topanga), Avery is pulling herself up on everything and eating baby food like a champ, her hair is finally growing longer (as you can see I got a little too excited that she can finally wear bows) and Scott is super busy studying for the Monster Law bar.  Well that's all for now.....

It has been forever....we moved about a month ago and didn't have internet for the first few weeks....then I felt so behind in the blogging world that I didn't know where to begin....but the greatest thing that has happened since I last posted is....Scott graduated from Law School!

Isn't that fantastic!  I am so proud of Scott and all of the hard work  he has put in these last 3 years.  It has been an adventure but a wonderful one:)

I will post a better update later...chao for now:)

This is my adorable friend Katherine.  Katherine, her husband Jay and baby James are very good friends of ours here at Pepperdine.  She and I were pregnant together and had our babies 10 days apart.  She is a wonderful mom and a beautiful person inside and out.  On Monday Katherine had an emergency brain surgery and is in need of prayers for a miracle recovery. They have prayer lists going around the country and I invite you to join in:) To get updated info on Katherine visit here.  There is also a facebook group: praying for Katherine Wolf that is frequently updated.  We love you Katherine!!
