We spent New Years down at my parents house.

Avery got to have Christmas #2 and loved her new horsie...

She hopped on this thing and rocked until she got booted off by the other kids:)

We had a fun little get together on New Year's eve and played some hilarious games...

Yes they were as funny as they look.

It is always so nice to be home with the fam:)

This year we spent Christmas in St. George.

It was so fun to visit with family.  Although she looks undecided, Avery Loved all of her gifts...

and spending time with the McDonalds:)

Avery got to visit the snow for her first time and she loved it...

Especially the sledding:)

Surprise Surprise

A couple weekends ago, Scott and Matt planned a surprise excursion for Whitney and I.  We took this adorable train out to a Christmas tree farm where we could cut down our own tree:)  

The train ride out was beautiful.  We traveled through vineyards and orange groves.  Avery liked the train a lot.  (She always thinks she is so cool when she gets to be in a moving object without being in her car seat.)

When we arrived at the tree farm we were excited to see that there was a petting zoo with the most adorable baby Zebra, a camel, goats, pigs and more.  Avery got to ride this cute little Sheltland pony named Corky.  She was a natural on this horse:)

I 

was pretty much obsessed with the baby Zebra.  He was adorable and feisty.  It looked like he was wearing striped stockings.  The camel was a crack up because he kept trying to lick Avery's face.  She didn't mind too much though. 

 Off to find the perfect Christmas tree...

Dad I found one it's just my size!

Too small?  Alright I will keep looking...

The perfect tree was found and taken down with just two swipes.

We got the tree home safely and Avery helped us decorate it:) I was afraid she was going to pull this thing down but for some reason she has left it alone:)

Merry Christmas Eve's Eve!

Thanksgiving Time

I was just about to post some of our pre-Christmas adventures but realized I never posted our Thanksgiving pictures. This year we headed down to my parents house for the festivities. It was pouring rain during the boy's Turkey bowl game, so we didn't get to watch:( But we had a super fun talent show as usual after dinner and enjoyed going to the beach the next day:) We also had a great tennis tournament and Scott and I won 2nd place:) Gotta love Thanksgiving:)

A couple of weekends ago we went to Murray Family Farms. This is quite the place. We played in a corn kernel pool, went on a hay ride, got to pick our own fruit (eat it too), and taste test all of the yummy fruit for sale. We went to the petting zoo and the goats really liked Avery (they were trying to bite her shoes off:) They also have an asparagus maze, hay maze and arts and crafts. It was a really cool outing and Avery had a blast. Anyone who comes to visit will have to check it out.

Also EXTREMELY thankful that I can walk, something I wasn't able to do this time last year and didn't know if I would be able to on my own again.  This is such a huge blessing that we often take for granted (I know I always did).  I am also thankful for everyone who prayed and fasted for me.  I love you all:) 

Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific

Me and some of my girlfriends up here decided to take a field trip down to the Long Beach Aquarium.  I thought Avery might be too young for it but boy was I wrong.  She had a blast:)

It worked out nice for me because I was going down to visit my family for the weekend anyway so they came and met us:)  My mom, Hayley, Rachel, Macady, Merivale, Noelle and Chloe all joined us:) 

Avery was cracking me up because she thought it was super cool to lay down on the ground in front of the fish tanks.  Don't quite know why but it was her favorite part.

I had fun pushing Avery and Chloe around in the double stroller (if you know me well enough you know I am obsessed with twins, so it was fun pretending:)

If you live near by I would recommend checking this place out it was radical.

This is the 3rd best day ever!!!  Scott passed the bar and is now officially an attorney!!!  Woot woot:)  CELEBRATE!!

Our little Avers sure seems grown up lately.  She has been walking for 2 months now and she does it like a champ!  She loves playing dolls and climbing into everything she can squeeze her little body into.  She loves her park play dates and is quite the daredevil.  She copies just about everything her friends do.  She has amazing dance moves when music comes on and Scott and I always wonder where she gets her material:)  Time continues to fly before our eyes.  It is fun to see her turning into a little girl but I sure miss those chunky cheeks:(

Photoshop is much too fun:)  My sister downloaded some cool new editing filters for me so I have been messing around with them today:)  Kind of addicting I have to admit. I love the one of Avery with her favorite dolly:)
